Make it Simple*~

At some point in live all of us have come across and appliance that doesn’t make sense at all. Taking this and the Norman reading into consideration this week I decided to create a design that reflected a complicated object which usage cannot be determined. As Norman suggested it need to be inferred by the user what the object is for and how it works, if he’s not able to then the designer didn’t create a good design. The constraints of the object need to be simple and logic enough in order for the user to develop the connection between the object and the usage (also known as mapping). So designer, make it simple!
