Continuing Education courses bring RIT expertise to you
CBET continuing education courses for medical professionals, attorneys and educators bring the teaching expertise and high-tech capabilities of RIT to the professional community at large.
How it works
CBET develops and delivers the coursework in consultation with a sponsor accrediting organization. Continuing education credits are granted through the sponsor organization.
Sample courses
Examples of courses include:
- “Human Anatomy: back, upper and lower extremities” and “Human Anatomy: the trunk”. Demonstrations, dissections, and lectures organized for Continuing Medical Education credits in partnership with the American Physical Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- “Health and Fitness Certification Courses”. Formal classroom instruction and hands-on laboratory experience in conducting sub-maximal and maximal exercise tests using top-of-the-line testing equipment to satisfy certification requirements for the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).
- “Radiation Safety Officer Refresher Course”. Lecture-based, 2-day course meets federal regulations requiring all RSOs to receive refresher training every two years to remain certified.
- “X-ray and Mammography Risks to Patients and Staff”. Lecture-based course offered in conjunction with the Rochester Mammography Association.
