Northern Hardwood Calcium Cycling Project
Is acid rain depleting the calcium in forest soils of the northeastern United States? This collaborative project with five other institutions seeks to clarify relationships between stand age and the cycling of calcium between biotic and abiotic pools in the northern hardwood forest in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
