Research Interest

Immunology
Correlation of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms within the immune system.

Potential Research Project

Working alongside a deaf scientist with a doctorate in Immunology, the students will explore the single nucleotide (snp) alleles within the immune system components such as major histocompatibility complex (MHC) and immunoglobulin (Ig) that include MHC and Ig signaling transduction pathways, receptors, and transcription proteins and how this varies among the local population. In addition to the MHC molecules, correlation studies will be done to see how the snpDNA of immune system components interact with each other within the individuals.
