Microlocal Analysis for Non-Destructive Imaging
Faculty: Raluca Felea
Summary: We are interested in inverse scattering problems which arise in Synthetic Aperture Radar imaging (SAR). An antenna on an aircraft emits waves to objects on the ground and the reflected waves are detected with the same antenna. The received signals are then used to produce an image of the object. The goal is to analyze the resulting image and determine the artifacts it may contain.
