EMERITUS PROFESSORS
Our Faculty
At the heart of the RIT School of Chemistry and Materials Science is the faculty. The faculty is comprised of 17 professors and 5 full-time lecturers. All have dedicated their careers to attaining expertise in their field, conducting research, and above all, teaching students. Faculty members choose to be at RIT because they share a deep commitment to teaching. The RIT faculty are also prodigious scholars. Our school boasts an ACS Fellow, an NIH reviewer, a nationally acclaimed teaching awardee, and an editorial board member for an international journal. Every faculty member is expected to undertake scholarly work. The faculty engages students as collaborators in their research, especially during the summer months. The faculty actively publishes their research with student co-authors and very often takes their research students to local, regional and national meetings to present their work.
