What does my score mean?

Based upon placement exam scores, the School of Mathematical Sciences will provide a recommendation to students' home departments for appropriate placement. If you have any questions regarding your placement, please contact your home department.

NOTE 1: In some circumstances it will be possible, up to the end of the third week of the course, for a student to switch from the COS-MATH-181 sequence to the COS-MATH-171 sequence. This might be indicated, for example, in cases where a student was incorrectly placed, or where early performance is extremely poor.
