- College of Science Student Advisory Board (COSSAB)
Formed in 1997, the group was established as a liaison between the COS students, Student Government, and the Dean. In addition to sponsoring the annual spring picnic and formal dance, the COSSAB has been involved with issues concerning COS students. Contact us.
- Alpha Chi Sigma (Chemistry Fraternity)
Alpha Chi Sigma is one of a kind. Following the original concept for a fraternity as an academic organization, we are the only Professional Chemistry Fraternity. Over 100 years old with over 50,000 members, we bring together men and women pursuing a wide variety of chemistry-related careers.
- Chem Club
Chem Club was initiated to develop a better sense of community within the chemistry department. Chem Club organizes both social and educational events that will give fellow chem majors an opportunity to get to know one another and explore the many facets to a career in chemistry. Quarterly newsletters will be available in addition to photos of current events within the club.
- Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasound Student Association)
This organization was established to build a bridge among students, and between students, faculty, the profession and the society at large.
All students of the Ultrasound Program at RIT are represented by this Association. The Association holds meetings to discuss not only issues that face students during their learning process, but also, issues that are facing the profession. It also allows them to meet each other. The Program Director/Clinical Coordinator acts as the advisor for this organization. One of the Program faculty members usually attends the Association’s meetings. At these meetings, students and faculty communicate program news and events and address issues that may help students succeed in the Program and profession.
- House of General Science
The purpose of The House of General Science is to promote a friendly environment in which students can learn and gain a better understanding of the different sciences. HOGS is a special interest house in conjunction with the Residence Hall Association.
- Imaging Science & Technology
IS&T is a student organization for those studying imaging science or related fields. We provide speakers from industry, alumni presentations, trips to Eastman house, the observatory, free tutoring and mentoring as well as social events.
- Life Science Club
The Life Science Club is an official club at RIT, dedicated to representing the undergraduate College of Science students (and anyone else interested in science). It serves as an academic and social organization designed to provide the following services and activities: forums for discussion with various professionals and faculty, research opportunities, tutoring, peer advising, volunteer activities, intramural sports, club dinners, club trips, Student Government, club activities, weekly meetings.
- Physician Assistant Student Association (P.A.S.A.)
The R.I.T. Physician Assistant Student Association (P.A.S.A.) is a student society which is involved in a variety of social and professional activities including promoting the PA profession, involvement in community service and participation in our national professional organization. All students enrolled in the PA Program are eligible to become members. Each year an annual welcome picnic for all four class years begins the festivities. The incoming students are paired with an upper classman for peer mentoring and personal support.
- piRIT
piRIT is RIT's Association of Student Mathematicians and Statisticians whose goals are: Promotion of math awareness on campus, Undergraduate research opportunities, Fun group activities, Tutoring, Guest Speakers, Graduate school information.
- RIT Observatory
Astronomy at RIT is shared in a collaborative sense between the Department of Physics and the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, two academic units in the College of Science. While astronomy is not a major at RIT, several undergraduate courses are offered through the Department of Physics.
- Society of Physics Students
The SPS is devoted to adding a personal touch to the often impersonal world of physics. The group sponsors numerous events and get-togethers throughout the academic year.
