Research Interests

Polymer Chemistry and Organic Chemistry:

The current focus of research activities is on the synthesis and polymerization, of room temperature ionic liquid monomers, principally those derived from 4-vinylimidazoles; characterization of polymers and polymer composites derived from these monomers; and, exploration of their utility as membranes in capacitive electronic devices ranging from batteries to super capacitors and actuators.
