NRS Supporters Highlight
David Branca, a 2005 graduate from RIT, is both an NRS supporter and a member of RIT's Alumni Association Board of Directors. As an alumnus of the Graphic Media program in the College of Imaging Arts and Sciences (CIAS), David is leading the effort to develop and establish a fund to help support the student clubs in CIAS School of Media Sciences. Specifically, the gifts received for this fund will financially contribute to Gamma Epsilon Tau, the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA), and PUB. This contribution will help support the clubs' endeavors and their members throughout each academic year.
David began to support NRS in 2009 when he decided, "if it was not for RIT and the organizations I participated in, I would never be as well prepared or as successful as I am today. I owe it to the past, present and future students and alumni of RIT to continue building upon and participating with the vessel that not only challenges but also fortifies what is learned in the classroom: student organizations."
After graduating from the School of Print Media, now the School of Media Sciences, David earned his graduate degree at the SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF) at Syracuse. He is an honorary member of Gamma Epsilon Tau and a former member of TAGA and PUB. David enjoyed a successful career with Sappi Fine Paper as a research technologist before changing his career field where he now works for a technology-engineering firm.
