To Inspire and Support
Today's RIT, with its unique blend of left-brained/right-brained programs and individuals, is gaining a reputation for innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. We have our faculty and staff members to thank for much of the Institute?s progress. As President Destler said on opening day:
"For all of this I can only say thanks. I know that this progress was achieved because RIT is more than just a job to all of you. You have put your collective hearts and souls into this place in a way that compensation alone cannot produce.
Where to next? Together, we have set forth on a course that will, if we have the courage to navigate it, continue to move RIT into the ranks of the nation's finest private universities."
Every year our Campus Campaign for faculty and staff asks the campus community for their financial support. By showing support and providing additional resources, we will continue to gain ground toward our goal: to be one of the top five private universities in the nation.
The Campus Campaign starts with ROAR Day — this year, October 22 — when the whole campus comes together to make a gift, for any amount, to RIT. This year we had a great response. Results are still being calculated, and will be posted as soon as they are available.
Make Your Gift Today!
Last year, 31% of our faculty/staff made a gift to support the Campus Campaign. This year, our goal is 35%. You can help by making your annual gift to your favorite area of RIT. Payroll deduction is an easy and painless way to give. Also, you may also want to consider joining the Campus Campaign committee, playing an active role in moving RIT forward toward its goal.
And why do our faculty staff choose to "give back"" to RIT year after year?
- We love our students and want to see them succeed.
- RIT is a great place to work, learn and grow as we nurture the leaders of tomorrow.
- We know tuition cannot possibly "cover it all" — especially during this tough economic climate.
- We understand that by supporting the General Scholarship Fund or our favorite area of RIT, we'll be helping our great students get the full benefit of an RIT education.
If you are an alumnus/a as well as a faculty/staff member, your gift also helps raise RIT's participation rate, which positively affects RIT's national ranking.
