NTID and RIT have been "home" to me for the past 28 years. I have loved working here, and have cherished my relationships with colleagues, students and employers.
I made a bequest to provide monetary support to associate degree deaf and hard-of-hearing NTID students majoring in the arts who accept non-paid co-ops or internships away from their home area. The money will be used to assist them with living expenses so that they can have a rewarding experience that might not otherwise have been available because of financial need. As an employment specialist in the NTID Center on Employment, it has been tremendously gratifying to see students grow through their experiences in the working world, and gain confidence in their abilities by applying their skills in a co-op job. It is for this reason that I decided to make this gift to further their career growth.
