Impact of Annual Giving

Every year, thousands of alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends make gifts to RIT. Their reasons for giving are as diverse as the donors themselves. Your gifts provide opportunities for students, as well as faculty, to make a positive impact on the world. Seeing creative and innovative ideas put into action—particularly those that reflect the university's commitment to career-oriented educational programs that prepare students for their chosen careers in a global society—is one of the most exciting things about being part of RIT. You can support the area of RIT that means the most to you by directing your gift to your favorite student club, team or organization, scholarship, college or academic program. The impact of your gift—no matter the amount— is tremendous when combined with other generous gifts.

I received a scholarship this year that helped me pay a part of my tuition, without which I would have found continuing at RIT difficult. I also regularly watch the hockey games so I would definitely want to thank people contributing to the Tiger Spirit Fund, as their contributions have helped keep the ticket prices low.

Thanks to a scholarship, I am able to attend RIT. I have the opportunity to learn from amazing professors and this summer thanks to the Innovation Center, I was able to do research in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I am very grateful for all the opportunities of growth that RIT has offered me in just my first year. I cannot imagine myself being as successful and happy somewhere else!

I love RIT because I feel like I'm being made into a part of the future. The classes here teach us about real, practical knowledge and the technology we work with is state of the art. I feel confident in my future knowing that RIT is keeping pace with this rapidly changing world.
