ROAR Day

ROAR Day

ROAR – Raise Our Annual Responses – is the official kick-off for the Fund for RIT annual appeal. The goal of the event is to celebrate annual giving and increase the number of gifts made to the university each year. Your gift is critical to the mission of RIT, every September is a chance to share that message with the faculty and staff you loved back here on campus. ROAR Day has succeeded in not only increasing the number of gifts from faculty, staff, and RIT administration, but has also sparked a student giving effort in support of the university.

Giving Day

Giving Day

In 2012, New York's 92nd Street Y, in the spirit of giving created a movement to encourage people to give back to the community. #GivingTuesday is all about giving back. RIT joined other global charities, families, businesses, community centers, students and more to come together to celebrate and encourage the philanthropy that is vital to nonprofit organizations. It's a simple idea. Give back, then tell everyone you can about how you are giving. Continue RIT's great tradition of generosity and be a part of this global movement.

Thank You of the Month

Thank You of the Month

Our Thank You of the Month program is an opportunity for our RIT community to give back. Each month we offer a special RIT item when you make a gift to RIT. It's a great opportunity for members of the RIT community – like you – to make a difference. We know much you like your RIT gear so each month we will offer an item as a thank you for your generosity.

TAG DAY

TAG DAY

RIT's first annual Thank A Giver (TAG) Day was February 12th and highlighted the impact donor gifts on the RIT experience. Red tags were placed on buildings, in classrooms and labs and throughout campus to show the ways that donor generosity supports an RIT education. We celebrate TAG Day to thank our campus donors and give the campus community the opportunity to thank all donors for supporting RIT. RIT ♥ OUR DONORS!

Buy A Brick

Buy A Brick

Our Buy A Brick program recognizes your support of RIT by placing your engraved brick on a prominent campus walkway, located in the heart of the campus. The program specifically supports scholarships for students, and to date has raised more than $225,000 in scholarship support. There are 19 scholarship funds to choose from, so you are sure to find one that's most meaningful to you. Or, you may wish to support the Tiger Spirit Fund, which, while not officially a scholarship, enhances student learning by providing additional resources for student travel to competitions and conferences, for lecturers, visiting artists, and much more. Learn more about the Buy A Brick program or call 1.800.477.0376.

Gap Day

Gap Day

For most universities, there is a shortfall between tuition received and the total funding needed to cover all operations. At RIT, that means that if we apportion the tuition dollars received each year out on a weekly basis to cover operations, we would run out of money to run the university in mid to late February! That's our "GAP Day" – when we must officially depend on funding other than tuition to pay for our daily operations. Please support RIT– Your gift can make great things happen at RIT.
