The Fund for RIT

What is the Fund for RIT?
Thanks to generous donors, RIT today is a unique and distinguished university.

The Fund for RIT is the annual giving campaign, which runs from July 1 to June 30, that encourages alumni, parents, friends and even students to regularly support RIT. Every year, the dollars raised through The Fund play a critical role in advancing RIT’s academic excellence, diversity and the opportunities provided for our students.

Thanks to a scholarship, I am able to attend RIT. I have the opportunity to learn from amazing professors and this summer thanks to the Innovation Center, I was able to do research in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I am very grateful for all the opportunities of growth that RIT has offered me in just my first year. I cannot imagine myself being as successful and happy somewhere else!

I love RIT because I feel like I'm being made into a part of the future. The classes here teach us about real, practical knowledge and the technology we work with is state of the art. I feel confident in my future knowing that RIT is keeping pace with this rapidly changing world.

I received a scholarship this year that helped me pay a part of my tuition, without which I would have found continuing at RIT difficult. I also regularly watch the hockey games so I would definitely want to thank people contributing to the Tiger Spirit Fund, as their contributions have helped keep the ticket prices low.

EVERY GIFT COUNTS! No matter where you direct your gift—or the amount of your gift—it will make a difference in the lives of our students. Today, tuition covers only about 54% of what it really takes to operate hundreds of degree programs and student services. Your gift, combined with support from thousands of others, provides resources that the university needs year after year. If you are an alum, your participation in our annual campaign will also help RIT maintain its top rankings, which increases the value of every RIT degree.

The Fund reaches out several times during the year—through mail, phone calls and e-mail—to ask for your continued support. Please consider adding your gift and becoming part of a great tradition of Tigers “giving back.” As always, you may direct your gift to your favorite area of RIT.
