Since 1829, Rochester Institute of Technology has been offering students a unique educational path that combines high academic standards with experiential learning. With eight colleges, over 300 degree programs, expanded emphasis on research, and a campus that highly values diversity — RIT has distinguished itself as one of the best educational institutions in the nation.

More and more, RIT is being recognized as an incubator for innovation and creativity — a place where left-brained and right-brained individuals complement and inspire each other to produce new ideas, sustainable products and healthier communities.

The Fund for RIT is the main support vehicle for this dynamic and growing university. Several times each year the Fund reaches out to the entire RIT community to ask for your support. Every gift from alumni, parents, faculty/staff, students and friends makes a big difference in the lives of our students and in RIT's success.

Remember, you can make a gift to your favorite part of RIT, including:

  • our colleges, departments and academic programs
  • scholarship funds – our general need-based fund or named scholarship funds
  • the RIT Athletic Association and all 22 of our sport teams
  • the RIT Libraries at Wallace Center, which includes the main library, the archives, the Cary Press and the Lawson Publishing Center and more
  • the Tiger Spirit Fund, dedicated to enhancing student life
  • RIT's Unrestricted Fund, which allows the university to respond to immediate needs as well as supplement the capital fund.  Such support ensures that RIT will continue to offer students an environment optimized for learning
  • RIT's Endowment Fund, a long-term investment fund which provides a source of continuing financial support for the future of RIT.
  • There are many other RIT funds that might be of interest to you. If you can't find one here then please email us at FundforRIT@rit.edu or call 585-475-5500.

RIT has grown in size and recognition thanks to generations of generosity. We are grateful to all our donors for support that has allowed the Institute to continue on its trajectory toward becoming one of the top five private schools in the nation — The Innovation and Creativity University!
