One of the most enduring and meaningful ways an individual or organization can make a difference in the lives of RIT students is through scholarship funding. Today's students are the leaders of tomorrow, and an investment in them through scholarships will pay the highest of dividends.
- Many American families cannot afford the tuition, fees, room and board
at a university of RIT's caliber without financial assistance.
- More than 75% of undergraduate and graduate students at RIT require
some form of financial aid to meet educational costs.
- Last year, RIT provided about $102 million in scholarship assistance
for our students. This year, that number is expected to climb.
To attract top students and ensure that all of our students have what they need to complete their education, RIT must be able to offer appropriate financial assistance. Every gift to a scholarship fund or our RIT Endowment Fund means more students can obtain an RIT education.
Currently, RIT has more than 600 scholarship funds (including 450 endowed scholarships), and they range in requirements from very general to highly specialized, and from merit based to need based.
