YOU MADE IT HAPPEN!

Thousands of alumni, parents, friends and even students responded to our S.O.S. $1 Million Matching Gift Challenge, and we are very grateful. The timing was pretty fantastic, too. As our fiscal year came to a close, the Challenge was attained! We've got additional scholarship dollars for both returning and new students THANKS TO YOU!

What is so gratifying is the spread of support:

• gifts ranged from $1 to two large gifts of more than $100,000
• 69% of the total gifts were for less than $100! You proved what we've been saying all along — EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS!!!
• A total of 41 different scholarship funds received support — and 817 gifts were directed to support our General Scholarship Fund

Stretching Scholarship Help
The Matching Dollars from the $1 Million Challenge will now supplement RIT's plans to assist students in the year ahead. Already, $102 million has been set aside in our operating budget to use for financial aid. Your efforts will add another $2 million to help students across the campus. Keep A Good Thing Going!
As you know, at RIT, our goal is for all our students to be able to attend and graduate from RIT. But we can't do it without your help. In past years, more than 75% of our students needed financial support to come to and to stay at RIT. This year, with a slowly recovering economy, that number will increase. When the Fund for RIT comes to your mail, email or phone this year — remember your gift can make a big difference!
