Recognizing Academic Achievement and Student Leadership.
The NRS Scholarship program is made possible by the Nathaniel Rochester Society, RIT's leadership-level donors. This unique merit scholarship was created in 1991 to recognize RIT undergraduate students for outstanding achievement. The program now encompasses over 26 separate scholarships and is funded through hundreds of annual leadership donations to RIT. Over 2,500 students have benefited from the generosity of NRS members over the last 22 years.

Apply for an NRS Scholarship and receive financial support towards your next year of tuition at RIT.

Scholarship Criteria
Are you an undergraduate student who has?

  • Enrolled in a BA, BFA, or BS program at RIT, AND
  • Achieved a minimum of 3.4 cumulative GPA, AND
  • Completed a minimum of 36 credit hours or 12 RIT credit hours for transfer students as of Spring 2014 semester, AND
  • Demonstrated leadership, involvement in extracurricular activities, and community service!

If this describes you, please complete your application today. Current NRS Scholarship recipients need not apply. Your award is renewable for up to two academic semesters pending eligibility.

The deadline for submitting applications for the 2014 NRS Scholarship program has passed. The deadline for application was April 7, 2014.

All applicants will be notified in June 2014 of their application status. The scholarship form will reactivate for the 2015 NRS Scholarship program on April 9, 2015.
