Member Levels

You can join the leaders in the Nathaniel Rochester Society by supporting RIT annually at a leadership-giving level. Your impact on RIT and its students will be substantial. Your gift can support the university through the general fund, scholarships, or a specific college or program. The impact of an annual gift at the leadership level is profound.

NRS recognition levels are as follows:

  • 1829 Circle $100,000 and above
    • Create an endowed named scholarship that provides immediate support today through a portion of the gift.
    • Create a technology endowment for one of RIT's research laboratories or academic departments to ensure leading edge equipment is available for decades.
  • Founders Circle $50,000 - $99,000
    • Provide funding to support research in any one of RIT's colleges or centers.
    • Sponsor a summer study program for incoming freshmen to prepare them for their first year of college.
  • Chairmans Circle $25,000 to $49,000
    • Create an endowed scholarship to support students with tuition dollars that will be awarded annually in perpetuity.
    • Purchase 15 Tablet PCs with C-Print Technology which can be used to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing students in group work situations.
  • Trustees Circle $10,000-$24,999
    • Sponsor a one-year Student Fellowship for students working in the Criminal Justice program's Public Safety Initiatives Center.
    • Sponsor Northeast Cyber Defense Competition, a multi-university event where RIT students create security systems.
  • Presidents Circle $1,000-$9,999
    • Support a student innovation team developing a new marketable product or technology in the Simone Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
    • Assist a student with the costs of on-campus housing.
    • Support faculty in the classroom by providing funds for supplies, equipment and technology.
    • Provide an NRS scholarship for up to 10 students, for one year.
