Amidst falling snowflakes, arctic temperatures, and subzero wind chills, construction crews at the Gene Polisseni Center continue to make steady progress on the future home of RIT Hockey. As of late January, all underground plumbing is now complete and crews are finishing the installation of the roofing system. HVAC equipment has been installed on the roof at the south end of the building. Up next are ductwork in the rafters and fire proofing of the structural steel. Also, through the month of January, approximately 3,000 square yards of concrete are being poured for the structural slab and the upper-level concourse. Despite the challenging weather, construction remains largely on schedule.
