October-November, 2000. Equipment and furniture are purchased and installed in the DIIT laboratory.
June 19, 2000. An open visiting faculty position is is announced, and subsequently filled.
May 2000. The leadership of NTID allocates laboratory space to the project based on a recommendation from the NTID Space Committee.
April 3, 2000. The National Science Foundation notifies NTID/RIT that the grant has been approved.
October 1999. NTID/RIT submits the grant request to the National Science Foundation.
