Partnerships In Pluralism
Partnerships in Pluralism is a diversity networking program, designed to improve RIT's climate by providing opportunities for building communication and trust among faculty and staff.
The program employs a key strategy: to create diverse pairs of colleagues within the community, who otherwise might not be able to connect easily, and provide structured opportunities to become familiar with each other.
Partnerships in Pluralism was originally implemented at RIT in 2004. The program was created to help people of different backgrounds become familiar with each other, both personally and culturally.
The time commitment to participate is very reasonable, and can be integrated into personal time, such as breaks or lunch.
