Chakib Alaoui graduated from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (MS.EE in 1998, Ph.D. in 2001). In 1999, He joined Silvaco International (www.silvaco.com
) as a Senior Spice/CAD applications Engineer. Silvaco International being the leading supplier of Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) software, and a major supplier of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) software for circuit simulation and design of analog, mixed-signal and RF integrated circuits.
In 2003, He joined Al Akhawayn University in Morocco (www.aui.ma
), a North American style private university (BS, MS), as Assistant professor of Electrical Engineering. In 2008, he joined Taif University in KSA (www.tu.edu.sa
) as the Chair of the Department of Computer Engineering and Associate professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. In 2013, He joined Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai (www.rit.edu/dubai
) as Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering.
His research interests are in the design and optimization of renewable energy systems/electric vehicles and in the area of analog/digital VLSI design. He published several peer-reviewed journal transactions and book chapters.
