Patricia Poteat, D.Ed., is a lecturer in the Department of Service Systems where she has served as adjunct faculty since 2004 specifically teaching graduate research methods and writing strategies. Her research interests include customer service/patient satisfaction as well as program evaluation. She currently serves as the Program Director for the Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Services Administration at Bryant and Stratton College. Poteat has extensive experience working in the public and private sectors of health care. Her career spans serving in leadership roles in quality, compliance, and risk management in the Rochester community. She most recently served at Lifetime Health Medical Group overseeing the quality, compliance, risk, patient satisfaction, and pay-for-performance programs. Prior to that, she worked at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield in the Medicare Compliance Department. She has had experience working with not-for-profit boards in her role as Director of the Community Technology Assessment Advisory Board (CTAAB). In addition, she has worked at each of the major hospital systems over the tenure of her career in the quality/risk management department.
She is a member of American Evaluation Association (AEA); Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) and the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). Poteat sits on the Seniors First Board of Governors and Valley Manor Board of Governors.
