RIT Dubai student wins 2nd place of the first stage of the International Microelectronics Olympiad competition.

Congratulations Varsha!

Please join us in congratulating our student Varsha Beheunani for being the 2nd place winner of the of the International Microelectronics Olympiad competition.

The competition took place at the American University of Sharjah and included 27 participants from several universities in the UAE including American University of Sharjah and Masdar Institute of Technology.

Varsha was just one point short of the 1st place winner from Masdar Institute. Varsha still has two more years to complete her BS degree in electrical engineering at RIT.

We would like to thank all our students who participated:  Hazel Gamboa, Mohamed Khalil and Abdul-Qadir Qaizar. Furthermore we would also like to thank our faculty & staff colleagues from RIT Dubai and RIT New York (Dr. Santosh Kurinec, Dr. Jameel Maki, and Mr. Mohan Ramdas) for their support to our students.

We especially like to thank Dr. Muhieddin Amer, our Electrical Engineering and Computing Division Chair, for his dedication and leadership in encouraging and guiding our students in this competition.
