Research programs at RIT Dubai are experiencing growth through the cultivation and expansion of mutually beneficial relationships with industry and government partners. We help expanding these research activities by pairing industry needs with RIT-D's research expertise. We work directly with companies and faculty members to connect research interests.
We are here to assist external collaborators, including companies and agencies to connect to our faculty researchers.
We manage RIT-D’s corporate research partnerships. We assists faculty and staff in identifying and engaging corporate partners and we serve as a liaison between RIT and company representatives.
RIT Dubai to Direct workshop on Smart Cities at 8th Gulf Research Meeting at University of Cambridge, UK, August 1 – 4, 2017
Dr. Wael A. Samad (Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, RIT - Dubai) will be co-organizing a session / workshop during the 8th Annual Gulf Research Meeting titled “Smart Cities in the Gulf: Current State, Opportunities, and Challenges”.
The event provides an academic environment in which to foster Gulf studies and to encourage knowledge exchange among those researching or interested in current developments that define the Gulf region and its constituent societies.
The call for papers for the workshop is currently open and the deadline for abstract submission is January 31st 2017.
Kindly note that:
- A travel grant will be awarded for accepted papers
- Paper proposals are invited from scholars and participants worldwide
- Papers presented to the workshop may cover country, or be comparative, regional or thematic and sectoral studies
- Selected papers will be shortlisted for publishing in an edited book
