Freshman Applicants
You should apply to RIT as a freshman if you are currently in secondary school or have graduated from secondary school but have not yet attended college.
Each year, entering students bring a broad range of academic, career, and personal interests to our campus. We encourage applicants from a variety of geographic, social, cultural, economic, and ethnic backgrounds. Transfer Applicants
You should apply to RIT as a transfer if you have attended any college after graduating from secondary school.
International Applicants
You should apply as an international student if you need a visa in order to study or live in the United States. If you are a US citizen, dual US citizen or permanent resident of the US, you are not considered an international applicant.
