A Wonderful Week
I think the title says it all. I've had more free time this week than I can ever remember. I got to watch my favorite tv show, House M.D., last night. Btw, it was a great episode. I also received Season 1 on dvd for my birthday thanks to Michelle so I have some catching up to do =D
Tonight I'm looking forward to actually "cooking" dinner and not just "throwing it together". haha. That makes me sound so old that I'm looking forward to cooking dinner. This weekend I'm 80% sure I'm coming home to celebrate one of my best friend's birthdays. Me and my friend Kristin are both coming home and we should probably plan her a little surprise party. I can't wait!!! Happy Birthday Holly!
I don't know if I've told you or not that I do undergraduate research here on campus. Basically, I try to amplify, sequence and analyze the cytochrome b region of mitochondrial DNA from different species of iguanas that inhabit Mexico and other counries of central america in order to establish a phylogenitic tree. In turn, I'm making a "family tree" of iguanas based on their DNA. I've been doing this for almost a year now and I'm finally making good progress. I wish I could get in the lab more to work on my project since it's going so well.
