Accepted Student Open House Days

FRIDAY, APRIL 1 or APRIL 8, 2011 - Register Now!

Accepted Students and families are invited to attend our Open House and make an informed decision about their future. Current RIT students, faculty and staff will be on hand to provide information, answer your questions and to make new students feel at home.

What can you expect at Accepted Student Open House?

- Tours of the RIT campus
- Tours of residence halls
- Meetings with faculty from your academic department
- A chance to learn about financial aid*
- A chance to learn more about student life
- A student activities fair
...and much more!

Schedule of Events:

8:15 am - 9:00 am Check-In & Continental Breakfast
9:00 am - 9:50 am        Opening Session
10:00 am - 12:00pm Academic Meetings
11:00 am - 1:30 pm Lunch ($8.00 per person at Gracie’s)
11:00 am - 4:00 pm Financial Aid Meetings*, Campus Life Information, Campus Tours, Residence Hall Tours, ROTC Presentation, plus much more!

*Optional Financial Aid appointments will be available for families who have received their financial aid package. If you live locally or will be arriving a day prior to the event, you may contact the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships at (585) 475-2186 to set up an appointment for Thursday. If you are arriving on the day of Open House, you may sign up for an appointment during check-in.

    We are having some scheduling issues for the April 1st admitted student's open house, and cannot attend the April 8th one. Is there another time we could come maybe the following week or when convenient for you and get a tour?

    Hi My daughter and I sch for april 8th but we can't find a bus that will accommadate us without me taking two days off from work and my daughter missing 2 days of school. do you have a weekend date ?

    We do not have a weekend Open House date, but we do offer campus tours at 11 AM on most Saturdays. You can discuss a visit to campus with our visit coordinator, Michelle Kinch, at 585-475-6736. Hope to see you soon!

    Absolutely not! The weather predicts no significant snow accumulation for Rochester tomorrow. Even in a foot of snow (or more), campus life still goes on. See you tomorrow!

    Excellent, we will see you tomorrow.......looks like we are going to drive through snow from Poughkeepsie NY to get to RIT. Now that's a nice switch :)

    My daughter Jennifer has been accepted and we were unable to make the two scheduled visit dates and since there is no school for her in Boston this upcoming week is it possible to schedule a visit this coming week. Robert Fairbairn

    I tried to register for the 8th, but when i clicked on the hyper link for registering it tells me that April 13th is the only available event. I thought the only two open house days were the 1st and the 8th. Am I mistaken?
