All RIT Students are Computer Nerds

Let me be the first to officialy debunk this rumor. Yes, we are home to the largest college computing facility in the nation, but no, we're not all nerds. Before I came to RIT, I had a pretty harsh view of the school. I really thought that everyone here was a geek, lacked all social skills, and was just plain weird. After three years here, I can safely say that is just not true. Sure, we have some quirks but RIT is a very cool place and there is always something going on. We offer more than 200 academic programs; you can study anything and everything here. Outside of the classroom, the list of things to do on campus is essentially limitless. RIT is home to:

24 intercollegiate varisty sports (did you know our women's hockey team is currently ranked #1 in the nation?)
200+ clubs (View the full list here.)
30 Greek organizations (Get more info here.)
20 restaurants, dining halls, markets and express dining facilities (That's a lot of food.)
5 art galleries
3 international campuses (In Dubai , Kosovo , and Croatia )
And so much more !

But don't take my word for it. Schedule a campus visit to see first-hand all that RIT has to offer; go on a campus tour, talk to current students and faculty, and eat lunch in Gracie's or the SAU. You can look at pictures online all you want, but you can never get a feel for what RIT is really like until you get here. My first visit to campus is what convinced me to come here and I know that it will do the same for you!
