Bigger and Better
You might be wondering which programs will be included in CHST and you’re not alone. There are a lot of academic degree programs that are candidates to transfer to the IHST. Faculty within those programs are currently considering whether the Institute constitutes a better fit for their program and have until December 1 to submit a proposal for transfer.
The IHST marks a “substantial transformation and commitment
by RIT to contribute to the field of health science and to our alliance with
Rochester General Health Systems.” (quote from RIT Provost and Senior Vice
President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeremy Haefner, in an e-mail to students this morning)
Even though this new college doesn't directly affect me or my education, I still think it’s
awesome! I am constantly impressed by RIT’s commitment to growth and development.
Since I’ve been here, campus has changed so much. There are always new
buildings going up and academic programs being added.
RIT just might be the most exciting school in the country right now. It has been awesome to be here and witness all the changes in just the past three years. Imagine where we’ll be in 5… 10… 50 years! If you’re interested in being a part of the most innovative and ever-expanding universities in the United States, come to RIT!
