Cat Photography: You've got to be kitten me!

Tanner Newcomb on Monday, 01 April 2013. Posted in Majors & Minors, Student Life, The Arts

RIT is known for many things, notably its engineers and its artists. The latter comprise a unique demographic on our campus. The College of Imaging Arts and Sciences houses majors varying from 3D animation to film to fine arts (metal, glass, wood, ceramics, etc.) to photography.

And the photographers just got a little bit... furrier.

Some might call it a cat-astrophy, but I think it's pawsitively brilliant! It's a scientific fact that cat-related media makes up the majority of internet traffic, and so it seems quite logical that RIT would create this major to add to our creative CAT-alog. As someone with a PhD in Cats, Kittens, and Felinious Studies, I couldn't agree more.

I'm not lion to you right now, this is fur real. RIT continues to be a trendsetter.

Special thanks to RIT's School of Photographic Arts and Sciences for their sense of humor. I think it's purrfect.
