As winter is approaching us here at RIT, you might notice yourself getting the sniffles. Don’t panic! But, also do. Being sick is the absolute worst. I’ve had my fair share of sickness here over the past three and a half years, and I definitely have a few tricks up my sleeve to keep you healthy this fall and winter.
My favorite product in the whole universe is probably hand sanitizer. You can get literally gallons of it at Costco. Go, my young grasshoppers, go. Please wash/sanitize your hands before you get (or after you use) famous computers - you never know what the person before you touched or if they were sick. Bath and Body works has my favorite ones, personally. Their scents are amazing and they even have a stress relief one that is perfect for midterm and finals week. I also carry around wet wipes in my car for post gas fill-ups and pre-eating situations.
Next, buy some vitamins!! Gummy vitamins are made for adults now if you wanted to relive your childhood. I actually take gummy vitamins, but be careful - you don’t want to overdose on a certain vitamin. Vitamins C will keep you healthy so please take some vitamins! Also, Vitamin D will definitely be helpful when it gets all gloomy and dark outside. You can even use Dining Dollars to purchase some vitamins here on campus!
Last but not least, please go to the August Center and check out the Student Health Center on the first floor if you are sick. They’re awesome in there and are more than willing to help you. I know I’ll be going there on Monday to get my stitches taken out.
