Summer's coming to a close. My room looks like a bomb exploded and I haven't slept in my bed for a good month or so (that was by choice though). Apparently this is the summer where I decide to not stay in one place for more than two weeks at a time. I've been to Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, New York and Maryland (where home is). I can't figure out if moving about has made the summer go by fast or slow.
Regardless, I've packed up all of my belongings-- and some of my sisters, but shh don't tell. I'm heading up to Rochester early tomorrow morning. After a bit of uncertainty, I landed a spot in a 1 bedroom apartment with my roommate from last year! We're pretty excited and have both spent the past week gathering various things that we need-- including cooking supplies because we'll finally have our own kitchen! Ask me again in three months though, I might get tired of cooking for myself... I guess there's always peanut butter and jelly :)
I'll be moving in early Monday morning and then orientation assistant training starts on Monday night with a dinner. We'll be "training" all week, I'm not entirely sure what all that entails but I'll be finding out shortly. Next Sunday we get to help all of the incoming freshman move in!! I'm super excited for orientation week because we get to go through everything from last year all over again =) There are tons of evening activities and ways to get involved, so if you're an incoming freshman be on the look out for schedules & make sure you come check everything out.
Is everyone ready for school to start again?!
