Imagine RIT: The Tigers' Guide to Brick City
Imagine RIT is RIT's annual innovation and creativity festival. On May 4th we can expect well more than 50,000 visitors to be on campus for the day exploring and learning about everything (or as much as possible to see in a day) that RIT students have to offer within every different area of expertise you can think of.
Now in my fourth year, this will be my last Imagine RIT as an undergraduate. Each year I have participated as an exhibitor. My freshman year, I participated in an exhibit with Photo House, the special interest house I lived in. The last two years I have participated in exhibits for Admissions, and more specifically, within the social media team.
This year is no different, I will be once again working on an exhibit, with this year being my first opportunity to have led in the planning and coordination of it. Our team of Social Media Ambassadors is collaborating with Student Government and New Student Orientation to bring you and the visitors at Imagine RIT "The Tigers' Guide to Brick City".
What is "The Tigers' Guide to Brick City"? Just to give you a teaser, here is our summary description that is available on the Imagine RIT website and will be in the print program:
"With hundreds of exhibits, Imagine RIT can be a challenge to navigate even for the most experienced RIT student. With our help, you will find the coolest exhibits, best places to hangout, grab a cup a coffee and of course the best place to grab some grub. And for the newest Tigers, we'll have some pretty cool giveaways to make you feel right at home. As student ambassadors, our jobs is to know what's going on. We'll point you in the right direction."
Our exhibit promises to be very interactive with representatives from these major organizations that are ambassadors to RIT's campus, from before the time you are hopefully here as a student, all the way through graduating and being an alumni, and of course all the fun times in between.
So we hope to see you out here, oldest and newest Tigers alike, on May 4th, so you can get your personal guide to Brick City and everything it has to offer!
