Insight into My Winter Courses
Currently in crossroads working on homework awaiting the 2pmtour, so I thought I would give all my followers a little insight to my winterquarter schedule.
“Circuits 1” is the first electrical engineering course I have taken on campus (a requirement for mechanical engineers). It is an introduction to the world of DC circuit analysis: things like voltage, current, resistance, power, Ohms Law, Kirchoff’s Law, and others. The course also requires a lab – in which students get hands on practice building and troubleshooting physical and computer simulated circuits.
"Human Biology
“Technical Writing” is an online course I am taking as part of my communication minor. The course focuses on techniques for technicalwriting for projects such as resumes, cover letters, brochures, emails,short/long technical reports, writing instructions, etc. So far I LOVE the course – I am a big advocate for online classes (especially in the winter, whenall I want to do is stay warm in my dorm room!).
“Heat Transfer” is a mechanical engineering course that explores the fundamentals of heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation – and their application on engineering systems. Ever since I startedtaking this class, all I can think about is how quickly the heat is radiatingthrough my coffee travel mug!
“Hip Hop” is the highlight of my Thursdays. Per graduation requirement, all students are required to complete two wellness classes. Courses range from everything such as horseback riding, skiing, snowboarding, martial arts, andstress management to dance! So this quarter I am learning the art of hip-hopand break dance – who doesn’t want a spontaneous break dancing tour guide?!
