Students Participate in Birthright with RIT Hillel

While I have been working away in the co-op world, my sorority sisters have been globetrotting with RIT Hillel (office located in the RIT Center for Religious Life). Jenna and Sara traveled to Israel with Rochester Hillel through the Birthright program to embrace their heritage, learn about their homeland, and reconnect with their beliefs. The girls returned back to the states last week and sent me photos and stories from their trip!

RIT Hillel serves a community of approximately 400 Jewish students, faculty, and staff. Hillel provides weekly programs and activities for the community such as High Holiday services and meals; Shabbat Hagadol; speakers; outings and much more. For first year student RIT Hillel provides a “FYSH” (First Year Student of Hillel) program that pairs upperclassmen (Big FYSH) with first year students (Little FYSH) to show them around Hillel and RIT.
