The Conclusion of Week 1

Jon-derek Castagno on Sunday, 19 March 2006. Posted in Academic Calendar, Student Life

The conclusion of Week 1 of Spring Term has been pretty good. I have a pretty interesting schedule this quarter. I got 1 class earlier M W and then the whole T R are full. Best of all, nothing on Friday. I am really excited for 219 (Programming for IT 3), we have a big group project that will take half the quarter. Learning threads and networking code is the focus of this course. So excited am I (Yoda speak for those who didn’t catch it).
I have a new job here on campus this quarter. In addition to being a fine and outstanding member of RIT Brick City Ambassadors I am also employed by the IT department as a Grader for 217 (Programming 1). It is a great job, learning and helping other students with their java. As an FYI to all of you ambitious folks as a full time student (=>12 credit hours) you can only work 20 hours a week. Because of that rule, stupid rule if I may add, I had to reduce my time in admissions to about 10-12 hrs, so I don’t get to see and work with the coolest people ever as much. I really do love my job in admissions, the people are the best and coolest I have ever worked with.
The “Dotes Kick Ass Song” of the week. This choice is simple this week. I love this song so much. It is entitled “Girl I Wanna Lay You Down” by ALO & Jack Johnson. You must definitely check it out. Especially towards the end of the song in the last verse. You will see what I am talking about great song indeed.
