Collegeis a time of new experiences that will shape your future….and what shapes a girls hips more then a GARBAGE PLATE?! just published the "50 Fattiest Foods in the USA" recognizing the fattiest food in every state. And of course Rochester represents for New York.... yum.

This is what says:

"While New York–style cheesecake tops the list of fatty regional specialties, the Empire State is also home to the “garbage plate,” a mess of potatoes, beans, meat, onions, mustard, and sauce that reportedly got its start at Rochester, N.Y. eatery Nick Tahou Hots in 1918. Ingredients: A base of home fries, macaroni salad, baked beans or French fries, topped with choice of meat (hamburger, cheeseburger, hot dog, sausage, chicken tender, fish, fried ham), and drenched in mustard, onions, and hot sauce—all amounting to about 3 pounds of food! Fat content: While there’s no official dietary analysis for thevarious versions of garbage plates, estimates and homemade recipes clock in atanywhere from about 93 grams of fat per plate to an astounding 203 grams, enough for more than three days."

...And it only takes an RIT student 20 minutes toclear-that-plate.....

As bad as this combination sounds, and as fatty as may say, the Garbage Plate is an undisputed Rochester classic and Ican guarantee a fine memory for almost every RIT student on campus. Nick TahouHots is the originator, but student usually go to Henrietta -Hots (a closer location), or you can also grab a plate on campus at Commons or Crossroads. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, a GP is a quick fix to any food craving.

Really I do not know why Mark keeps poping up in my blogs but everytime I jump on youtube to find a video for my entry he has already started a vlog about the topic! So check out the latest from Mark and his ratings of all the garbage plates in Rochester:
