The Vignelli Center for Design Studies!

So now to the good stuff!
Life on campus!
I have wanted to write about one of out newest additions to RIT more specifically to the School of Design (SOD).
Mid October of this year we had two world renowned designers know for their;
Industrial and product design, graphic and publication design, corporate identity programs, architectural graphics and exhibition, interior, and furniture design, on campus!
I could not resist going to this “groundbreaking event” of the Vignelli Center for Design Studies.
I don’t know how much you guys know about design but going to the question and answer hour with Lella and Massimo was amazing!  It was so hard to understand them but it was so interesting, I honestly don’t know what Lella said because she doesn’t really like to talk and when she did talk it was very quiet! But she was sitting there in her beautiful gray attire with the jewelry she designed, the quote she lives by, “If you don’t find it design it!”
The Vignelli Center for Design Studies at RIT” is going to be 24,000 square foot five level facility strictly for design and design education it will be the only center and first center solely dedicated to design, and it’s at RIT that’s pretty sweet. Massimo also designed it! It’s going to serve as a resource for students and scholars alike from around the world, as well as provide teaching space for design; which includes classrooms, archival storage, offices and critique and exhibition space.
I am so excited to see this center go up and go through the different stages of its life! I CAN’T WAIT!

I pretty much promise that half of the quotes that Massimo or Lella said will be page titles of my blogs cause they are very inspiring!
