| My name is Clarissa Baston, but my friends call me Monkey because they are my favorite animal and I used to jump and cling to people freshman year. I received my BFA in Illustration Fall of 2010 and am a current graduate student in the Professional Studies Program. I originally came to RIT as a Fine Arts Sutdio major, but decided that Illustration was a better fit for me. Art has always been in my blood. My uncle worked for Hanna-Barbera and my mother is an amazing artist. I love cartoons and still watch them to this day. (even though I think old school cartoons are the best, ie Superfriends and Ren and Stimpy) I never associate myself with a specific hometown. I was born in Des Plaines IL, grew up in New York City, lived in the Philippines for a few years, and moved to Syracuse NY my freshman year of high school. So...I've been around...kinda. After I graduate RIT, I hope to pursue a career in higher education.
