I'll be honest with you I was never one of those kids who knew what she wanted to be since she was three years old, therefore when it came time to pick a college and a major I was feeling rather pressured due to my lack of foresight. Looking back now I cannot believe how lucky I was not only to pick a course of study that really interests me but also to have landed at a school that really suits me. I am a New Media Marketing major by the way, and one of my favorite things about RIT besides the amazing professors I have me is that everyone is free to be themselves here, there is so much room to be unique. I am the first person from my tiny all girls private high school (there were 48 girls in my graduating class) to attend RIT, so you can imagine freshman year was a big adjustment for me, but it was also full of excitement! Now going into my fourth year I am continuing to involve myself in new activities on campus, I am psyched that for the first time since before my first year here RIT will have a female club soccer team! If you are a prospective student considering RIT I would really encourage you to make the trip up to visit the campus, in my opinion that is the best way to see if the school is a good fit.
