|My name is Mariah McLane, and I'm an Admissions Counselor here at RIT. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Communication Studies from SUNY Brockport in 2004, and also received my Bachelor of Science in Communication from Brockport in 2002. I was born in Rochester and have lived here most of my life, with the exception of two years spent working for a marketing firm in the D.C. metro area. I currently live in the Park Ave. neighborhood with my basset hound, Maddie, and love downtown Rochester! One of the most exciting parts of my job is traveling to Colorado, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia, where I get to meet with prospective RIT students at college fairs, hometown interviews, and high school visits. I am also the co-leader of the Brick City Ambassadors program, a member of the international team, and of course, a staff blogger! Other parts of my job include reading freshman applications for the Schools of Art, Design, and American Crafts, working campus events such as open houses, interviewing prospective students, and developing webinars for international students. I am here to answer questions, provide information, and assist you with your transition to RIT, so please feel free to e-mail me anytime at email@example.com.|
