Hello there! I graduated from Rochester Institute Technology in November 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. While I am officially a “retired” Brick City Ambassador, I wanted to update my profile because I think that it is important for prospective students to consider not only what an Institute will offer during your education, but also how it will prepare you for after graduation. Plus, regardless of what anyone says, I will always be a BCA at heart. Needless to say, my four years at RIT were some of the best times of my life, and if I had to do it all over, I would choose RIT again in a heartbeat.
I still live in Rochester, which is an area that I grew to love throughout my time at RIT. The city is rich in culture and offers many events, activities, and entertainment. I decided to stay in this area after being offered a job by the company that I co-oped with the summer before I graduated.
I firmly believe that the co-op program, in concert with my formal classroom education, prepared me for the working world. My experience and knowledge gained through the program gave me a competitive advantage over other recent college graduates. My favorite part of RIT was being a student at the Saunders College of Business. I was exposed to the best of both worlds. The Saunders COB offered an intimate learning environment where the students work closely with faculty to build lasting relationships. As a part of the larger RIT community, I was privileged to beautiful, state of the art facilities such as the Gordon Field House.
