Although I had heard about RIT forever (many family members came here, including my Mom for the Ultrasound program) and how great of a school it was, I wanted to make my own choice and potentially leave Rochester. I looked at RPI and loved it, but still tagged along to an RIT Open House. That day, I met Dr. Skuse...and everything changed. He was the director of the Bioinformatics program (my incoming major) and was such an awesome guy, giving me information and advice and answering all of my questions in the nicest, most low-key and comfortable way possible. He sold me right into applying and wanting to be a part of RIT's program. I was awarded a full academic scholarship and that was definitely a deciding factor as well.
I've always just been Alyssa. Sometimes I'll answer to zumbalyssa though, my twitter name!
Sunday morning omelet bar! Salad/fruit bar or chicken alfredo were always my go-to items too.
My own kitchen! I love cooking. Going home for dinner is always great too. However, chicken french or prime rib are always worth going out for. I love Davinci's and Phillips European.
So You Think You Can Dance, Castle, and anything on the Food Network!!!!
The Avicii pandora station, haha.
My bed...which is clearly a terrible idea. During the day, I will be studying in the College of Science atrium or the CBET lobby. I need some background noise.
Nope, and none planned. Growing up I was told my Mom would "chop off any body part I got a tattoo on." Harsh joke but hey, I never forgot that one!
One in each ear.
Baking gourmet cupcakes in mass quantities at 2am because that is when I am most creative and they always seem to turn out best! I am obsessed with cupcakes, and half of my apartment is filled with cupcake baking supplies or cupcake themed decorations!
When I take anything off a shelf at the store, I can never take the first one. I have to reach behind it and get the next one. For some reason I must think the first one is not as good?!
