University of Buffalo Center for Computational Research (Summer 2011)
I only applied to 3 schools, University at Buffalo, University of Rochester, and RIT. At both of the other schools, I applied to study Biomedical Engineering, however RIT didn't offer that program at the time so I applied to the Bioinformatics program. Having not really any idea about what that particular major entailed, I came to an accepted students open house and sat down with the program director at the time, Dr. Skuse. That was all it took. He was so helpful and enthusiastic about the program that I was sold. It also helped a little that it was the furthest from home (not by much), and my brother goes here also so it's fun being at school with him.
If you asked my friends, they would probably tell you that I have this little issue with not being able to tell people no, and therefore find myself getting involved in everything. Sometimes it can be my downfall, and things get a little bit crazy, but I love every minute of it and have been involved in so many fun things and have met so many great people.

Dexter, Glee! and Pretty Little Liars
The Script, Ellie Goulding, Train, Taylor Swift, Sara Bareilles, John Mayer, Goo Goo Dolls (representing Buffalo!!), A Day to Remember, and Mayday Parade (I'll pretty much listen to anything except I don't like rap, I even have a hardcore side!)
I'm going to have to call it a three way tie between A Knight's Tale, Easy A, and Mulan (and obviously all of the Harry Potter Movies).
3rd floor of the library.. the second floor is too loud and the fourth floor is wayyy to quiet.
My mother would probably disown me if I got a tattoo now, but as soon as I graduate I plan to get one on my right foot with the words of my favorite Irish blessing.
I refuse to watch a movie based on a book if I haven't yet read the book. I love to read :)
I have OCD when it comes to loading the dishwasher. It drives my roommates crazy because everything has an exact spot and I have to redo it if someone puts something in the wrong place.
