My name is James Brigden. I am from just outside Syracuse, NY, and I went to high school at West Genesee High School in Camillus, NY. I chose to come to RIT because of the majors they offer and the co-op program. Also, when I visited, I knew it was a perfect fit.
I'm a Senior studying Information Security and Forensics with a minor in Criminal Justice. I enjoy school and learning. It keeps me busy, but I still find time to spend time with friends, play some intramural sports, work, and have fun.
I'm very happy with my choice to come to RIT. College is what you make it, and if you make it a good experience and take advantage of what RIT gives you, you will have a great time!
Advice I would give to students looking at RIT: Be ready to be challenged and have a good time. RIT is what you make it. If you come here with an open attitude and take advantage of everything that is here, you will have a great experience.

I chose RIT because of the quality of the programs and the co-op opportunities. The program I chose is not offered at many universities. RIT has one of the most respected and successful co-op programs, which allows students to learn about their programs of study before graduating. This requirement allows you to work in your field of interest, and RIT does it like no other university!

My favorite meal at Gracies is Gracies Plate (RIT's version of a Garbage Plate if you're from Rochester). It's pretty much a cheeseburger, chilli, hot sauce, onions, and what ever else you want on it.
