Art House!

The time has come to apply for on-campus housing for next year, so today my First-Year Enrichment (FYE) class attended a Housing Presentation that discussed our options. I've already decided what I'm going to do for housing next year, so I'm not too worried about anything. I've decided to apply to live in Art House next year. Art House is one of many Special Interest Houses that are on campus at RIT. It is a floor for people who are interested in any kind of art: drawing, painting, animation, video game design, etc.

Two weeks ago, I applied to be an off-floor member of Art House and I got accepted! I guess it helped that I'm always on the floor anyways because a couple of my really good friends live there, so the majority of people on-floor already knew me. I'm excited though to hopefully become an on-floor member next year. It is such a fun floor and there is always something interesting going on. For example, there will be an Art House activity this Saturday called "Dolla Holla". All on-floor and off-floor members, that would like to be a part of the activity, will spend a small amount of money to buy some things from the dollar store, get food from the dollar menu at Wendy's, and watch a movie at the dollar theater. It's a cheap way to have fun with a whole bunch of cool people.

Check out Art House at Until next time.
