okay so right now i'm getting paid to write this. i'm sitting at my kitchen table in my pajamas and tap shoes [don't ask] and i'm getting paid. it's wonderful. i could be doing this from my bed if i wanted to.
2. FRONT DESK IN THE BAUSCH AND LOMB CENTER
unfortunately the rest of these jobs involve leaving the comforts of home. but i've seen those kids working at the front desk. they sit there and do homework and occaisionally have to point upstairs to where admissions and financial aid is.
3. CARD SWIPER AT THE SLC
they sit there and swipe your card as you walk into the SLC. they read magazines while swiping your cards. they could theoretically be replaced by monkeys.
this job actually involves doing something, but it's office work, not serving up slop at gracies, so its all good. PLUS there's always free food lying around. AND you get to tell people how much you love RIT. it rocks.
in the past 24 hours my summer has seemed to take a turn for the better. the beginning of the week was HORRIBLE with all my fourth of july plans falling through and people being annoying and clique-y. but then came the phone call that changed my life. I GOT A JOB AT APPLE. it's amazing. like. i'm gonna be selling computers i love. and ipods. and everything. *happy manda* then i went to rehearsal last night and everything just seemed to click. like, yeah i'm still using a script, but i was just doing better. then i came home and was talking to a ton of people from RIT and people are going down to the city soonish and i'll be able to see them. yay.
NOW. i am going to upload pictures like i've been promising forever.
that is the craptacular little beach me and my friends hang out at. it's like the size of my living room and it has a dock and it's shaded by trees and nobody ever bothers us there so we'll just lay there all afternoon and talk.
me and my friend at her grad party...her mom told us to decorate and handed us streamers. so. we decorated each other!
this is at another friends graduation party. all of these wonderful people go to RIT and with the exception of one girl, we all live in the same neighborhood in NF and i've known them since i was little. [=
my friends doing the thriller dance. or at least just the thriller pose.
this is the ferris wheel at the carnival at the mall and i love this picture and therefore everybody should see it.
alright. that's enough for now.
