Career Fair

(September 30 2010) Written by: Alissa Anderson in Academic Calendar, Advising & Support, Co-op

Hey RIT Hey!

You always know it is co-op season when EVERYONE is walking down the quarter mile in full suit-and-tie action.

Twice a year RIT hosts the Career Fair in the Gordon FIeld House to help students and employers connect over possible co-op opportunities. Yesterday there were 199 companies present (110 for engineering alone!).  Everyone from NASA, to the FBI, L'oreal Paris, to Play Station and Apple (longest line for sure).

The career fair is a great way to get dressed up and gain one-on-one interaction with a future employer and hopefully score an interview the following day. The career fair last fall was how I found my current co-op, and a great stepping stone for others in my sights.

You can also find out more about career opportunities for students on the RIT website (key word career services), on facebook (http://www.facebook.com/RITCareerServices), and twitter (RITCareers)

Happy Hunting!
