As you may well know, there has been a lot of construction around campus this year and it picked up the pace this summer to get ready in time for classes next week!
Global Village is looking very close to being finished, all of the rooms look done but now they are working on the restaurants, fitness center, mailroom and courtyard portion of the space.
I had a chance to walk inside the building, it's so nice! The rooms all have a different theme (a country or region of the world) and they are decorated like that.
There are multiple lounges with projectors, big tvs or just really comfy chairs.
The image above is looking out of one of the suite halls into the courtyard that square that you can see part of will be an outdoor seating area and then in the winter will be an outdoor ice rink!
This is a view looking up out of Crossroads and the entrance to Global Village towards Building 70 (Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences) and the new bike path they are building.
And finally, here is a view from the top of the bridge that connects Engineering and Building 70 looking down the bike/walkway in the opposite direction.
It all looks really nice and I can't wait for it to all be finished! I'll probably do one more update once it's open for real.
